A large variety of projects are available,
reflecting the diverse interests of the
laboratory. For rotation students, these
projects generally utilize the oocyte
expression system. This allows the
student to obtain familiarity with
electrophysiological techniques quickly,
while collecting data applicable to a
particular research question, often within two weeks of starting. Of course, a student may opt to use any of the
techniques in the laboratory during
their rotation. The rotation student will
be exposed to discussion of the various projects ongoing in the laboratory at our weekly laboratory meetings.
